No one has shown a coin from this era of Romanian history. It must be the best time, because the sun is shining and the farmer is working.

Hahaha! I love the sarcasm! With our coins looking so happy, how can we be sad to be under soviet control! I love it!

I recently purchased a 1906 1 Leu with the "heads side" on both sides of the coin. I'll take a picture tonight.

The coin was minted to mark 40 years of King Carol I's rule.

This is my newest Romanian coin. I got it from Allen Berman a couple weeks ago at the Danbury Connecticut coin show. It is about the size of a US quarter.

Perhaps I should post it on the error coin forum. There is a sticky note thread there that says something like “is my two headed coin real” :)

That is interesting. In my last post the word "ago" is printed twice but if I go to edit the post, it shows that I only typed "ago" one time. That's weird.

40 years was quite a long time especially in the late 19th Century I would think

This is a portrait of good king Carol I.
