After seeing that, I went and got a box of halves and a box of dimes. Done the dimes, yielded 4 silvers, including an absolutely MS FB 1961.

Thanks for that link Gypsy. Amazing.
I've done a little roll searching the past couple of Saturday night with 10 rolls of cents each session.
Nothing too exciting except for one wheat. I am saving the pre '82 coppers and the nicer coins to fill in album holes

Just finished my box of pennies. I was getting worried near the end. All I had to show was .40 in canadian. I did find one wheat 1955.

However, near the last roll I found a beautiful 1969-P. It shined as bright as my 2000's.

Don't you love seeing those shiny ones and then seeing an older date as an extra bonus.?

Yes, a couple or three 72-s cents. No 69-s but a nice red 68-s, most were 70-s, one of these days I am going to have to go through them and see if those are small dates.

Wow, that link was just amazing. That is what I dream about, lol.

My luck was a little better today.
    $90 in CWR: 5 40%ers
    Box 1: 4 40%ers
    Box 2: 2 40%ers

11 in one day, even though all were 40%ers, is a lot better than I've done in quite a little while. :)

Also, I found one 1974 D DDO (a weak one, but still a doubled die), and my first 2010D (fills a Dansco Album hole).

Not really a roll search, but I went thru my father in laws pick ups from the store he works at, and he had 44 franklins, 5 kennedys, 3 liberty halves, and 1 ASE. He picks stuff up and saves it thruout the year, then cashes them in right before christmas to pay for presents. He is the manager of the place, and someone actually paid him with the ASE for a drink. He also had quarters and dimes, I just dont remember how many of each. I told him I would give him the money this year for them, fair price, instead of him taking them to the bank. Unfortunately, he has been doing this for years, but turning them in for face value to the bank! Ugh!

I went through a box of dimes and found 4 silver dimes.. not too bad i suppose, but then I went through almost a whole box of halves only to figure out that someone went through it before due to markings on the end of the rolls.. bummer!

at first i thought you were saying he takes them and gets melt value, like at a coin shop. my stomach turned when i seen the line that said he takes them to the bank!

i could only imagine how much money he lost and how much better presidents he would have been able to afford...
