Hello everyone hope you all had a good weekend. I was searching some of my 65 SMS packages and came across this dime. A first I couldn't figure out what was wrong but after I took the pictures I could clearly see the an inverted reversed "P" from the reverse of another dime. I'm still not sure what's going on with the reverse so any help would be appreciated. I can only describe the lines as looking like spray paint when it runs and it is 3 or 4 different areas on the reverse. Let me know what you think. 1965 SMS Dime Obverse Large.jpg 1965 SMS Dime Obverse 2 Large.jpg 1965 SMS Dime Reverse Large.jpg

It looks like a super nice die clash on both obverse and reverse.

Thanks guys....do you know a ball park for value? It's not graded yet but it is still in the mint package.

Haven't a clue. Check CONECA or Fred Weinberg's site.

The "lines" on the reverse are the result of die wear from the outward expansion of all the planchets struck before.

Nice die clash. By the way, you might want to find Fred Weinberg's contact at fredweinberg.com. Really nice guy. If you e-mail him or send him a letter about a question for one of your coin errors, he'll either write back, e-mail, or if you give a phone number, he'll call you. Trust me, top numismatic error enthusiast.
