    Post your certified V nickels! I think I have gone off the deep end now. I am freaking obsessed with these!

    It's better to be obsessed with just v-nickels than, say, everything. It's more enjoyable. Have you stocked your library with all the v-nickel books you can find?

    "Hazed proof" is a modest description for what might be the highest graded proof coins in this thread. Are they PF65?

    The first is a 66, the second a 65 -- both from PCGS with a little green CAC sticker.

    On the 1912 reverse, is that not a die chip under the dot left of cents? Would that raise the value of the coin? If so, what would be an estimated value of that coin?

    It's an S mint mark, and yes, it does raise the value quite a bit. ;)

    I paid $230 for that coin in 2005, IIRC, and I am not sure what the value is today -- PCGS places a value of $320 for F-12 (which is what ANACS graded it).
