Oh you blocked it out, I noticed the star, but I was wondering why the serial was like that haha, that explains it.

I think I read somewhere recently that there are certain restrictions as to how US currency can be scanned and displayed. I have also seen folks with huge , valuable note collections blur out the serial numbers. I figure it couldn't hurt to error on the side of caution.
This is actually the 1st time I have done this since I now have a graphics application that will allow me to do it easily.

Don't worry, I doubt it's of any significance. I wouldn't go to the extra trouble next time.

    I read
I glossed over something about that at the US Mint web site. I think that has to do with taking pics of both sides of a note or something ? I figured you found one with a series of like numbers and you were a "liar's poker player" ?

What's the significance of a "star note"? Are they rare or collectable?

    (2) 1970S

    ....AND $10.00 worth of 04' - present

    Also, 3 canadian dimes 89'. 93', and 00.

You know it is a good box when your opening up rolls and get bummed because theres only one silver. There had to have been at least 5 rolls that had 4 silver and 10 or more with 2-3 silvers. The next 3 boxes had 1 40%er in each. 2 more boxes tomorrow.

When I was re-rolling the cents I didn't want from the box I went through, I found 2 more woodies that I missed on the first go-through, although the same years as the 1st 2. It's amazing what different light shows.

two weeks ago; got two boxes of pennies to go through..approx 700 wheaties (15 were 1929 or older), bunch of 30's/40's, 7-1955 DDO's (poor mans), 2 1972 DDO (not the #1 though) and a 1906 IHC. So went back and went through aprox 900.00 worth of boxes but nothing like the first two...also found a 1921 & 1932 Canadian (actually was at least 2 canadians in almost every roll) and an euro... Think sometimes ya hit the bottom of the batch and its like hitting the lottery..
