I've been known to run between 4-5 different TD's in one day.

Another sucky halves day. 4 boxes, 2-40%. I found several of my buddies marked coins....guess it's time to quit.

Strange... the seller lived in Texas. They did have a bunch of them but they all sold.

I did try to search for it before I bought but found too many other things with the name.

Thanks for the link.. I think they said they had more but are waiting a while to sell them.

It was interesting opening it.. was sort of spooky, even the color of the roll.

    $182 in halves. No silver.

also got 5 Ike dollars at another bank. I was surprised, and happy that the day wasn't a complete failure.

Just cracked open my very first box of cents and found my very first wood grain coin in the first roll I've gone through. A 1981 D. It's not very pronounced, but there on both sides.

I've come across one of those before, but I didn't save it. Are they collectable?

    1988D Cent_Line thru Head.jpg

I just went through my first roll search of cents. Can someone tell me what I'm seeing? There is a line through Lincoln's head starting from the T in Liberty to the U in Trust. The 'line' is more like drops on top of the surface. There appears to be an axis line - this is an illusion. It's Lincoln's beard line.

Pretty sure that is delamination of the copper layer to the zinc core. Many times the copper "bubbles up" from the surface of the zinc---you may want to post it to the error thread for more opinions---

I have one like that somewhere.. looks like a string of copper was laid across the face. Did you check the reverse on that one to see if it's a DRV-006?

I did check the reverse. I tried to will it as a DRV-006, even got out my metal monster 30x loupe, alas, no banana.

I went and turned in some halves that I had searched thru. About halfway the machine stopped and said it was full, so a girl came over to change a bag out. She pulls out the BIGGEST bag of halves I have ever seen. I asked if I could go thru it or purchase some, and she said she couldnt, they have to seal it up and send it to Raliegh. It was at least $1k, more probable more than that. I am still drooling at the thought of that bag.

One of my friends that's a teller had someone turn in some good stuff today... 9 silver quarters, 1 64' half, 4 40%'s, and 6 dimes. I picked them all up off her for 5x face. :D

The silver drought in Houston continues. 2 boxes of halves today, one 40%er.

My average per box used to be around 3.9, but this drought has dropped it to 3.49. :(

It has been a while since I found a good box...
