    2010P Cent Lincolns Eye Error?

So tonight I was bored and decided to open up one of my 2010 mint rolls figuring since they made billions of them the only thing they would be good for is looking for errors and wasting an hour or so. I decided to start with the P roll since that seems to be where most errors come from. And I found this:

Actually found multiples of it. Have at least 5 so far, I stopped going through it to post this and inspect them closer. Just wondering if Im just seeing things or is his eye all funktified?

No your not the only one, it definitely appears to be a double eye. However, wait till Mr. Mikediamond sees it. You probably will need to have a closer picture of that area or send it to him to check out. It's interesting also, have you seen the thread "You got to see this" sorry but I forgot who the poster of it was.

I did see that thread, but I couldnt make out the details that well from that picture to compare the two.

Thanks for the reply, for a minute i thought i was going crazy. =)

Did you find that in an OBW roll or a US Mint roll?

So I just unwrapped the denver mint roll and found some more of the same thing. So now I dont know what to think. Maybe Lincoln had a little to much smokey smoke in 2009 and its starting to show in 2010. :D

Looks like doubling on the nose and forehead as well.

After looking at both my P and D coins, I think that your comparison coin might be the oddity as that bump below Abe's eye looks, to me, like part of the "new" Lincoln design as it appears in varying degrees on all of my coins. I think that you might have gotten some well struck examples but encourage you to go ahead and follow up with Mike.

Yeah, you could be right the more I looked through the lot of them the "eye oddity" was to a lesser degree on most of the coins. The pictured one being one that really stood out. But Im thinking your right its just a well struck coin vs a weak strike coin.

Still looks funky to me, but guess Ill just hold on to it till the experts get all the different varietys cataloged.

Yeah it does, same with the 2010D I posted as well, doubling on the nose and upper lip.

These are in the Puerto Rico rolls. In quantities.

I opened five rolls from the PR earliEST releases, and found scads of these. I posted on a board somewhere and they were pooh-poohed as nothing. I still think them doubled dies.:)

Anyone else see a horizontal 3 and a vertical 7 in his check area? Just thought it was interesting...
