I would say obverse MS-64, reverse MS-63, net MS-63 Details (PCGS Genuine .98), due to the attempted murder using a knife on Liberty's jugular.

High end 64 they graded as a 65.

That coin is a PCGS MS64 that wasn't sold by Heritage. I thought it might be a no grade cause of big ding. if there wasn't that mark, I would say it would be a MS65.

Kind of leads you to believe that those looking at it in the auction didn't think it worthy of a 64 either now doesn't it ;)

How is that a 64 with that slice in the neck and other marks? Does Heritage get that much of a pass when they send stuff in?

I sent in a bust dime that would IMO 66 or 67 but for similar but proportionally smaller ding on the neck. It came back a 65. Leaves me to think: grade = coin without nick less 2.

WOW! You guys are all extremely strict. I agree with leadfoot, high end 64 and would be 65 except for that nick. However that nick isn't NEARLY enough to bring it down to genuine or 62 imho. Remember, this picture is blown up 20 fold, so any nick looks much bigger. I bet that nick is barely visible and the luster is absolutely blazing in hand.
