Coin collecting can never seem to take up enough of my time. After you run out of money and cannot buy any more coins, what can you do with your coin collecting hobby while you wait for more money?
Read! Read! Read! As I have told you and others before... READ as many books, magazines, newsletters and forums about coins/notes as you can get your hands on. Go to a library, subscribe to the ANA and use their numismatic library, visit a magazine rack at a local book shop and read Coin World, Numismatic News, whatever they have on hand... You can go to a coin show or peruse current and past auction archives on eBay, Heritage and other auction web sites that have numismatic listings. READ! READ! READ! Then you will be prepared for your next round of buying.
Really? I started a thread that called "Evorlor hates reading?" I make a joke and I get non-stop crap from GRUMPY OLD MEN like you.
Not at all... you simply made a bad statement that strikes out against you, sticks with you and defines the way you are being perceived. Nothing grumpy about it and nothing to discriminate about one's age over neither!
Can't Handle As one of my favorite OLD actors once said~ "You Can't Handle Grumpy Old Men"! ...or something like that.....:rollling:
Speaking of 'Jack' why don't you take a little trivia-learning time and do an online search for the $10 Series 1869 Legal Tender Note, you might find an aspect of the notes design amusing. :thumb:
In a word, NUMISMATOGRAPHY Taking quality photographs of coins is a hobby all in itself and it will greatly increase your enjoyment of numismatics especially if you like to share your collection with others on forums just like these. The best part, there is very little reading required, LOL.
