BTW, that's apparently a top 100 VAM... Pics are one day late, but that's better than never, eh? Busy day yesterday. Clash from N to wing... This is easily visible with the naked eye... ST clash polished off? "Alligator" eye Doubled LIBERTY (Tough to photograph)
Im dieng to have one but i will probably buying one in an ok condition ranging 20-35$ not much you can do when you don't got a job!! Love those morgans though nice collection guys!
Marshall, The reverse on that 1879-CC definitely has character I really like it. Don't get me wrong I greatly enjoy high grade and DMPL Morgans but the reverse on yours really looks like it saw a good time and survived out west during the rough and tumble days.:thumb: Terry
Could not agree more Jello, I am only half way through reading this thread for the first time, There are some stunning specimens in here.:thumb: Terry
Despite being probably no better than a "Details - Fair" grade, this 1893-CC will always remain in my collection for two reasons: 1) It is the year that my maternal grandmother was born, and....... 2) it looks like there is an obverse rim break that is an unattributed VAM. NOTE: I enhanced the lighting to better show the detail around the rim break, and I've included another photo of the obverse to show the actual patina. Chris
Keep post your Morgans Lady s & Gentlemen I work at my buddy shop Saturday and pull a 1896-O out I will post it soon.
