Would this 2003 $100.00 be considered a high serial number and worth keeping? It looks like they printed up to DB 992 00000 C. Thanks for all your input.

Hmm... I haven't really minded 'high SNs' myself. I'm usually alerted to lots of zeros in the front of an SN, for which I personally think five or more zeros is low. Maybe it works the same way with high SNs, five ore more nines making it high... dunno the answer, but I'm curious now. Looks like your SN is 910,173 away from all nines. :smile

They printed 364,800,000 of this Series Block DB-A through DB-D... that note is pretty high in DB-C Block and has a lot of wear..not much value other than face I am afraid to say.

The Star Blocks are much better. 320,000 and 1,920,000 stars

"Numbers" may have more exact data for you than what my reference has..perhaps he will stop by?

Thanks for your input. I was kind of hoping that it was a spender. I have way too many large notes that are probably not worth much more that face value, but I can’t bring myself to spend them.

We all do that... Trust me. I find it hard to even get rid of a bicentennial quarter

x2. i had a bunch of bicentennial quarters, halves, and ike dollars. i ended up getting rid of a bunch but kept all the high ms grade ones. so i have around 15 of each.

also if i see a state quarter in ms or even au condition it sits on my dresser for a few weeks and i debate on spending it. even though i don't collect state quarters.(i really only do this with the '99 and '00 ones, but if i see a design i like (examples: Hawaii or Florida) i do the same).

Well football season coming up and I was thinking more on the lines of my offshore account. I’ll take your advice into consideration, it certainly would be a better investment.

That’s my team so I usually don't bet on them. My heart takes over my brain.
