I pulled both of these out of the same BU roll. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/uploaded/BadThad/2010725_1943crack.jpg http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/uploaded/BadThad/2010725_1943cud.jpg
Great find! They are related to each other, with the one obviously being the pre-cud die crack and the second the cud. A neat set! I would say they're worth around $175-$200 as a pair. Jon
Dang, I way under-priced them then! Sold the pair for $40 because I had no idea. LOL Oh well, they did go to a good home.
I would have said around $50 for the pair in this economy. He got a deal and should be psyched about the pair.
There are no less than a dozen cuds in the region under the bust for the 1943-P - so i can't match it up to one in the book (terrible pictures for fine detail, but often useful if there are just one or two for a given date). I guess the 1943 dies had a short shelf life with the hard metal.
Not knowing much about the coins I might've paid more than $40 if I was looking to buy. Very nice pulls
