I was roll-searching at work today and happened across a 2000-S Silver proof dime. I thought it was a cool find (never found a proof in circ before). One thing I noticed is that it is a LOT thicker than the normal dime or even the normal silver dime. Is this how they are made? And if so why?
    Thanks,

If I remember right, the thickness isn't different, but the edge isn't beveled which makes it appear thicker.

Ok. Yeah, thats it. Thanks! I've never seen one out of the packaging before and I didn't know that.
