I don't know much about foreign coins, but I do enjoy buying silver on ebay. Is there a guide or internet site that compares the size of foreign coins to American coins so I kind of know what I'm looking at? I've bought coins not knowing anything about them, and many of them are smaller than a dime.
Wow, there may be a guide or book like that but I've never heard of it. Coins from Mexico are usually cool b/c alot of them state the silver content on the coin itself, at least some of the older ones did. Phillipines had some silver back in the early years, Cuba. It really seems to me like once the US changed to clad (sandwich coins) the whole world followed suite, just a guess.
No. But the Karause catalog list pretty much every coin there is issued by every country going back to 1600.
