I had a co-worker that used the gum -- all the time! He was constantly popping out a piece of nicotine gum. He was a chain gum chewer.
I bought two old packs of cigarettes from Greece at a yard sale--My wife smoked them. We had one of those novelty "Smoker's Survival Kit", a cigarette and a wooden match inside a sealed glass tube--Yep, my wife smoked it. She's bought those Top's roll your own smokes when money was tight. She bought a pack of Marlboro's the other day that came with a sample pack of chewing tobacco. It's still on the shelf. I'm just waiting...:goofer:
When in college money was tight even though I worked full time. People were always bumming smokes, so I bought a few sacks of Bull Durham and some papers. Took a few days to learn to roll one, but the next time someone asked for a smoke, I gave them the makin's. LOL Did it cowboy style until I went into the service.
You can always strip the tobacco from the butts in the ashtrays. Bet with a pack of papers she could roll a few ? Tossed my rolling machine years (decades) ago
Uh...tell her not to smoke and waste money on getting cancer, coughing, staining her teeth, raising your health insurance, lowering the resale of your cars/home, giving others second hand smoke, overpaying the government tax's for them...oh yea your question SBA would be gone as good luck getting her to stop.
mine sells them for 50 cents each:heated: packs of newports are over $7! i was smoking marlboros till the same company came out with L&M brand. now i get the L&M menthol bold for $4.73 compared to marlboro 54's(same thing) $5.54 a pack.. i would spend the sba's. i was in a similar situation the other day. i only had a $100 bill(no stores around here take them) and my new bank card is in the mail. i needed dinner and was forced to choose between the sba's, ikes, or jfk halves. they were all circulated and duplicate years of what i already had. i ended up spending the sba's. the cashier was trying to tell me they were quarters and thats how quarters looked in 1979. he said "they changed them to George Washingtons wife, for our bicentennial"! he also said they don't say "one dollar" on them, they say"one QUARTER dollar". he called his manager and got yelled out for basically being stupid and i got my food! i think they need to teach a little more american history in schools. although this guy was probably 30..
Now you know why I suggested that he give her the Susie B's and take a mini-cam along to film it when she tries to pay with them. Chris
However, honestly, I would let my wife have any coins she wanted if it would make her happier. There is nothing worse than having a discontent partner. IMHO
I was the same way. I told my wife she could have anything she wanted. So, she went out and found herself a boyfriend. Chris
I tend to spend bot the SBA's and Ikes I get from the bank. Circulated they arn't worth much (after they are checked for varieties) I like to carry one Ike with me, kinda a pocket piece that I like to spend to see what people think. I have 40 others at home still
Oh Man ! I treat mine much better than anyone she could ever find, and she knows it. I give 100% loyalty and she knows I expect no less. LOL We have 43 years now. So I guess it works.
I ended up giving her the Susan B's. Today I spent a few Ike's at Family Dollar. The cashier spent about two minutes looking at them, turning them over and over. It was great.
