Only 2 hours remaining and I am shocked no one has pounced on this screaming deal.

Allow me to dissect this auction:

1955 Double Die Error Lincoln Penny

Opening bid is $1,000 with FREE SHIPPING!

Yes, the coin was struck with double dies - as in two dies. But I seriously doubt it was struck with a doubleD die.

Oh, yeah. That's a GREAT photo for potential buyers to use to authenticate this coin.

Be very leery of any eBay auction for a key coin where the seller says, "What you see is what you get."

Again, I agree the coin was struck with double dies - an obverse die and a reverse die. Three dies if you count the collar.

Sorry, but I cannot tell if the coin has a "strong strick" from the photo.

What better pedigree can you ask for? That certainly guarantees the coin is the genuine article.

Only an expert in 1955 DDO Lincoln Cents would know most of the coins were distributed in celophane pouches as change for "ciggerettes" purchased from vending machines. So there is another rock solid bit of evidence this coin is the real deal. Yes siree, Bob.

I'm sure great-granddaddy would be proud of you.

Yeah, I would say with zero feedback you are new to eBay. I hope your victims, I mean customers, are happy with their purchases.

I wonder what could have gone wrong.

Just asked the seller for close up pics.

    Will the response be:

    a.- Sorry, I don't have a camera

b.- Sorry, My grandmother won't let me get close to the penny

    c.- Ummm, yeah,,,,ummm...I don't know....ummm...okay....ummmm....no and please don't ask me again!

d.- you are now blocked from bidding on this auction

No, I didn't miss it. You probably missed it with the micro-font I used.

Sorry 'bout that. I bumped up the font size to something even I can see.

I often got that error, but you no longer need Toolhaus. eBay lets you sort to see only negative or neutral feedbacks now. However, he literally has no feedback - positive negative or neutral.

also be leery of misspelled words like "strick" instead of "strike" :)

and not to mention that there's no reverse photo
