LOL. I have heard that all the retirees in Arizona do is play golf and search coins for errors and silver.

went through a box of pennies and 2 boxes of nickels today and got rewarded from the nickels I got a total of 2 war nickels one was a 1944D and a 1943S

The pennies were even better halfway thru the box I found my very first Indian Head Penny it had the date 1892 but on a side note it really showed its age with the way it looked but I will still keep it anyway

Somehow, while roll searching in nickels, I found a 20 cent piece from SINGAPORE!! Not kidding! I'm not sure how this happened, but when I broke open the roll, I saw a coin with reeded edge come out. Not knowing much about world coins, I thought that it was probably from Mexico or another country near the US. But after examination, it turned out to be from Singapore!

First of 6 boxes today was a skunk.

For the past few weeks, all of the boxes have been stamped with a Checked by XXX2 and dated May 28th. Today this box was dated June 30th. Is anyone else searching Dunbar boxes finding dates and inspected by stamps on their boxes? Also, if your in the northeast and initialing and dating coins RJP-date, I got one of yours from March 3, 2010. The fact that I'm getting soooo many marked coins each box and some of them are from just a few months ago, I think I'm fighting a losing battle here. Even going through 2-3k per week, I'm finding nothing. I'm trying to figure out whether to buy more boxes each week or just give up and stick to CWR.

Is anyone able to go forward to page 448 of the thread? I can't get it to go----still stuck on page 447

This new forum format has plenty of bugs IMHO----

    Hi tka1234,

I found the same thing (Singapore 20 cent) a few months ago in a few rolls of Nickels. I like finding the foreign stuff, makes it interesting. I found a Bermuda Penny in a Penny box a few weeks ago too.

Is that the penny with the pig on it ?, and they leave
I think the reason I find all kinds of junk is that Vegas attract tourists from all over and they must leave their change behind ?

Had a great day at the bank found a Franklin Pierce $1 coin to put in the album and then some person walked into the bank and turned in $30 in coins and I went over and saw lots of silver so I exchanged and came out with 7 90%ers and 13 40% and 1 silver 1964D Quarter, went through a box of nickels and found about a dozen pre 1960's but no silver or buffalos going thru a box of pennies now and will post the results later.

nothing in the box of halves, but I got $20 in dimes and did find a 1964, so that was nice. Anyone need a 2009 D dime? I have one or two extra, circulated slightly.

I made my first forray into roll searching today. I called about 20 banks before I found one that had any halves at all and about had a fit when the lady at the other end of the line told me they had $160 worth! Just finished with them and found absolutely nothing (other than one '64 that was in surprisingly good condition). Is there a trick to this, or is it just a matter of persistence?
