I need a little help with this 1878-S Morgan Dollar. It looks MS to me, but I am concerned with the flatness of the breast on the reverse. Give me your honest opinion I have rather thick skin.
Um the stars look too flat for me, and the wings just arent pointy,....hints of a chinese fake? not sure...im not a expert on these at all, but it just doesnt look right.
looks real to me as well...and the breast on the reverse looks like it is weak, but not worn...frost breaks maybe.
Coin has wear and looks to be cleaned from those photos. Possibly a 55. Very odd coloring, make sure a magnet doesn't stick to that coin...
Were these photos taken outdoors in natural sunlight? If so, it is impossible to see any luster. I'd want to see it under different lighting conditions. Chris
Not that tiny amount. I have two Morgans with similar amount of wear in the hairlines that graded MS-63, one from PCGS, the other from NGC.
