I've posted many things on Photoscape. RaceBannon, if you download Photoscape and need any help, PM me. In recent days I've even discovered new techniques that can improve quality of photos. ALL of my photos from now on, have been edited by Photoscape, and I recommend nobody wastes money on Photoshop, if a professional photo editor isn't needed. Photoscape is all you need. RaceBannon, browse through my pics: http://s415.photobucket.com/home/tmoneyeagles/allalbums Jefferson's excluded, all of those pictures are mine. I edited them by editing Sharpness and Brightness and using the Backlight feature on Photoscape. (Typical 100-200 on Sharpen, 10-30 on Brightness, and 50-75% on Backlight) The circle crop is used on Photoscape, you click the box for CROP FREELY and select black as your background. Then after that you click to the top tab, that says COMBINE. You drag and drop both the obverse and reverse photos to the white space, select your size, and make sure you hit the side tab to the right that says SIDE. Then my friend, you have professional quality editing, without the cost, or any of the hassle!
I checked out your Misc. Photobucket and like the Silver Texas Alamo coin.Did you ever see the show about the invasion of Mexico after the slaughter of the Texas Town, great little know story in US history but I'm sure not in Mexico's history.
I got that as a Christmas/Birthday gift from my Great Uncle Jerry. He collects coins too, and gave me that, and a 1979 10 Pesos coin as well. He was a politician at one time or another, and he got that in 1986 due to his position, as some sort of gift. I've never seen that show, but after being in Texas History in 7th grade several years back, I think I know about everything there is to know...lol
Santa Anna massacre : In 1834, General Antonio López de Santa Anna became the dictator of Mexico, abandoning the federal system. He decided to quash the semi-independence of Texas. Stephen F. Austin called Texans to arms; they declared independence from Mexico in 1836, and after Santa Anna massacred Texans at the Alamo he was defeated at the Battle of San Jacinto and seemed to agree to Texas independence. Texas consolidated its status as an independent republic, winning official recognition by Britain, France, and the United States, which all advised Mexico not to try to reconquer the new nation. Most Texans wanted to join the U.S. but the Americans debated the wisdom on annexation, with Whigs largely opposed. In 1845 Texas agreed to the offer of annexation by the U.S. Congress. Texas became the 28th state on December 29, 1845.[5] [edit] Origins of the war
The story of Texas admission to the Union has been told wrongly for generations. Pragmatism won out over proper procedure and Texans were told they joined by treaty because that's the only vote THEY ever took authorizing admission to the US. Unfortunately, the US Senate wouldn't accept the treaty so Texas was admitted in a back room deal which was hidden from Texans for public relations reasons. This came as quite a shock to me after I had been taught the lie as recently as the early 70s.
"The lies of our Father's" over time become accepted as U.S.history unfortunately, the truth should be re-written for the future generations !
LOL. That's right T$. And if you guys don't cut it out I'm gonna post my krusty war nickels....OOPS, sorry T$. No I won't.
C'mon fellas! Texas joined the United States because it was dead broke. Sam Houston was an interesting character, to say the least. I will give Texans this: Travis' writing from the Alamo is rather awesome. Anyhow, here's a Buffalo to keep the thread going...
No problem man. Yeah, I plan to be going even crazier with ole' Rick in some other threads too... I think that might get us on track faster than ole' Rick can. lol I'll post a few buff's a little after ten.
Alrighty two more of my nickels. Guys, I'm starting to run out, only a few more posts of nickels from me, unless I can get some on the bay for a real deal...
Very nice Fretboard And Paul that is a beautiful toner. Do you have a raw type set started, or do ya' just have a whole closet full of toned buff's, waiting to be seen?
