Marshall, that is a possibly accurate explanation. So far as the board goes, I really want to see this explored. I have seven to ten of these to send out to members, to examine. If you want to keep them we can trade for something, but I have plenty of money. Don't want to sell yet, here. More important to me is what the community thinks these are. There are some real coin whizzes here. First ten PM's get a copy each. I gave two away at the beach Friday to friends in from Virginia, so message away.
Sure will, and as soon as Billy responds. He is a busy man, for sure! If this does turn out, maybe he will shorten the notification time.
SP1 Dates Here are the SP1 Boxes and time stamp information. I included the yellowstone boxes because they have the same TYPE of error, whether machine doubled or actual doubled die, or some other unknown type of error. This is so everyone can get boxes from these dates. The 3-19 box is the earliest date I have seen on EBAY, and it had roughly 1/2 of the coins with this error type. The errors lessened on 3-22, and had about that same amount on 3-24. Good luck, folks.
An update (well, not so much of an update as no news yet). I am still waiting on a reply from attributer Crawford, and have submitted some for grading and attribution from another concern. One way or another we will get an answer. This post needs to be more reachable from Google, Admin. Seems like a circuitous route to get to this post, please address.
I have found Yellowstone doubled dies as well, and I will post that in its own thread. That will be more viewable to the net.
