    I gave my son one of those for his collection......Its not gold plated but he is three and thinks Kennedy's are the best thing ever.The bicentennial is his favorite. He plays store and everything cost 50 cents

    Mine has given to me from my father in 08', which was given to him from his father in 91'. My grandpa gave my dad a short set of coins, including different types and such, and that happened to be one of the coins that sparked my interest. I've always wondered how it got circulated, if it was made privately by a company, sold on HSN and then some angry wife emptied out her husband's collection...who knows?!
    I would've loved to see what coins were in that $250K collection of my grandpa though...

    I don't know why it comes out as this color but for some reason in any type of light I take the coin in it comes out darkblue/red. It's supposed to be blast white with a teensy bit of toning around some parts of the edges. :confused:
