    REALLY wierd Kennedy 1972 P

Thought I would post this reaaalllly wierd Kennedy I found today roll searching----

It's got a little bit of everything----doubling, connected fonts, a "cud" on the "U" in TRUST, don't know what to make of it---

I think I'll post it to the error thread and see what comments I get---

jon4485 the "O" is the new orleans mint. one of my favorites. even though i won't have any in my collection till hopefully sunday:(.

i was not aware there were mints other then philly , Denver, and san fran, till i started collecting. then i found out of about carson city and new orleans. did a search and found the others.

i always thought people were getting the O confused with a D:eek:!

also i get my rolls in the plastic wrap, when i get them from the grocery store. i also just squeeze them out.

Got my best box of halves ever yesterday! Not a huge find like I've seen here, but I got 12 40% halves and 2 90% halves! I'm to the point now where I can't put every 40% half I find in 2x2 holders, may need to buy some tubes or something.

2 more boxes of halves yesterday and 2 more shutouts... That makes 8 boxes in a row with nothing. I think I hit someones huge dump pile and I have been searching threw it for the past 2 weeks. Soooooooo frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean. I am going through the same thing. Every 100 coins or so i see a sharpy mark on the halves so i know someone has searched them before me. We will get through it though.

Gypsy! Wow, I hope you don't break my record because it sucked. I've had 2 long shutout streaks, as you probably know since you've posted here a while, one of 9 and one of 13. I hope you break it soon.

I'm getting only one box this weekend.....they haven't been productive lately here either.

VERY nice finds Inquisitive! My dime boxes (don't do them very often) have not been productive at all lately. Congrats.

LOL. Pretty funny how the old guys think alike. I found some errors on cents by putting them together in a tray. Then one will look "different" I take a closer look at that one. Especially with cents. A dozen 1974 D's together, one may stand out. Also, according to what I have read, errors that require greater than 7x magnification are not really considered ? I guess, if you can't see it, it doesn't count ? LOL

    Good luck man.

I'm still debating making phone calls to find some new halves/ikes but I just don't know if I feel like it. Kind of want to go back to the PNC again today, but I just don't know if I feel like it either haha

    Nice finds everybody.

    4 boxes of halves

    Box 1 & 2: Shutout
    Box 3: 7-40%
Box 4: 3-40% (and the teller let me look through the halves in her till....got a 1969)

Got a bunch of NIFCs, but who cares.

About to go to a bank where I found 63 silvers out of $130....hope I hit the jack pot again.

6 out of 10 boxes this week have been shutouts :(

    Kennedy box search update---

    Boxes 1 and 2 of 5 of this week's boxes---SHUTOUT on silver---that makes 3 in a row---my worst streak yet.

    However, in box 1 and 2 there were 16 NIFC's, 1 1991-S proof, 3 no FG's, and 3 nice DDO's.

But, a 40% in the first roll of box 3. That is the only roll searched in that box so far. Hopefully, it will contain more---hopefully much more!

    Will update later----

I ordered my 1st box of halves today it should be in next week. Bought $5.00 worth of coppers while I was there. Here is the score
    7 wheat's oldest being 1940
    1 2010 shield 1st one that I have seen
    2 Canadians
    135 per 82's
    355 82's +
A lot of fun much better than yard work! I'll let you know about the halves next week. Have a good weekend everyone.

is there a site for kennedy errors and such? i think i got a few no "FG" halves, but want to make sure. what caused the no "FG"?

also got a few rolls of nickels and cents. nothing real special with the nickels but did get a '77-D, that i needed for my circulated set. got a few more from the '60's that may be upgrades, but got to look at what i got. i also got a 2010-P, its my second one so far.

the only wheat was a '41-P in VF. the rest were commons and searched the error and variety years, but got nothing. i did get another P shield. also one of the rolls was all BU 1994-P's. i guess i will hold onto them. there are a few that i could see going 69. maybe in 50 years i can send them in!

So I called around to a bunch of banks and found 250$ in CWR at bank #1. 150$ from an opened box at bank #2. 2 CWR at bank #3. 2 full boxes at bank #4. 50$ in CWR at bank #5. Soooooo..... Bank #1 zero. Bank #2 zero. Bank #3 zero. Bank #4 only have searched one box but pulled a Walker so my 8 box lull is broken. Bank #5 2 40% 1 64. So to sum it all up 4 hours of driving, searching and feeding the coin machine= 4 silver. Better than nothin I guess.....
