I have been looking into joining a grading company. And I have been reading on both PCGS and NGC. What astounds me is that PCGS has two prices for joining. One US members and the second all others " international. I have searched their site for a explenation on this but cant find it. So the only conclution I can get out of it is discrimination. None US member pay more because they are none US. Please correct me if I´m wrong. Because i´m not figuring this out why they would have to charnge me more. Siggi
Hi Siggi, Are you referring to the new PCGS Global service? PCGS Launches New International Web Site – PCGSGlobal.com from CoinNews.net [5/19/2010] Maybe in part the higher cost is to offset costs "that allows coin enthusiasts from around the world to view information about PCGS third-party grading and explains in their own local language how to use PCGS’ services." Also, have your emailed PCGS or called them to ask about the different pricing? I'd suggest sending them an email if you can. I've gotten responses from customer service representatives when I have had specific questions about membership and services. Give them a shout.
I don't know why PCGS charges $20 more for international customers. I don't think NGC charges an additional fee, and if you opt for their Elite Membership, it entitles you to a 10% discount on the tier charge for all submissions. Chris
Hey Krispy, I´m going to see what they say if I send a email If PCGS does not come up with a good reason i´m going there for sure
