Found this coin a while back. Does anybody know anything about it? Can't find anything on the web. Any inputs would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, not a coin. A token or medal of sorts.

  4. It would appear to be a post Presidency Commerative medal. I looked through that section in my Red Book Guide to Medals and Tokens and that specific design is not in there, however, the issues of medals and tokens is quite large and that is just a basic overview, a book listing them all, with photos, would be (by my guess) 2000 pages or more, in full magazine size pages!

Looks like a Shell gas station medal (token) from the 70's or so.

There is a whole series of them, I have a Woodrow Wilson that I found metal detecting. Not sure when they were made or who they were distributed by, but the Shell idea is a possibility.

    On the back it says:
"A soldier at fourteen Major general 1814 A tenacious fighter in all pursuits a leader in an era of historical events The people's president"

    Hello

I have one of these coins too and have had a very hard time finding anything about it. So I am just wondering if anybody found out any definite details? Thanks

Hi, I do not believe this to be a shell medal...the shell president medals all had frontal views of the presidents. These medals have side views of the president's faces. Trying to find out what they are myself...I have four (George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant and Theodore Roosevelt) like he one you posted...mine all have a hole at 12 o'clock.

Like so many others often do, your reference to this as a "coin" will not provide any positive results in your search. It is a medal, not a coin.
