Sounds like you've come to the right place.. Make yourself at home.. I enjoy reading past discussions on the forum; you could try typing in a favorite coin into the search engine and read up on what people have said about it over the years. This goes for all topics such as grading and even photographing coins. There is much to be learned. Too much!
Sounds like you've been around for years yourself... been lurking? or just familiar with forums? Do you use any other coins forums where we might know you from?
