For all the members from New Jersey...........

I was going through a box of odds & ends (sometimes I can be a real procrastinator!) and I came across this medal for the New Jersey Tercentenary. I thought I would share it with you.

I forgot to ask if anyone can tell me the significance of the turtle, dog (?) and turkey.

What happened to our friends in NJ? Are they all in AC?

That's a pretty cool medal. I'm guessing the animal in the middle is a wolf. Perhaps a nod to Native American mythology?

Your medal is so nicely finished, I had to bring out this thing to show how much metal craft has changed in the last 200+ years. It's so quaint it's almost funny:

That's a cool one, Sparrow! Yeah, there's a big difference in age. Mine is only about 24,193,440 minutes old.....give or take a few.

    Thanks Chris,

I havent a clue what it could be. NJ is a very strange state. We do a lot of things that just dont make sence. Thats why we got a new Governor.
We have high hopes for him. But always stay out of Atlantic City, thats very good advice.

Steve, On my way to your page.

I was in AC at the Trop for a pool tournament in 1995, and it didn't take me long to figure that their payouts don't even come close to Las Vegas. I never went back.

I agree. No comparison to Vegas.

    Chris,
Your Right Atlantic City is for suckers. What always suprises me is people come from so far away to be there. On the other hand I bought a beat coin on E-bay.The odds might be better in AC then E bay.

What cracked me up about AC was that I witnessed people who came from NY and cashed their unemployment and welfare checks at the cashiers cages on more than one occasion and headed straight for the casino floor. How do I know they were from NY? I tended bar for 15 years in Southwest Florida, and many of the breakers were from NY. I ID'ed enough of them.

I noticed the same thing. Crusty old welfare hags chain smoking cigarettes in between sucking oxygen from their tanks...
