Do you happen to know the Krause catalog number for this coin , because I was unable to locate an identical coin ? Is this a 1 Thaler or fractional ?

 

I think that's the Hogmouth 2 Taler.

The moment you look at those kid of coins you cant help to think all of the following things about them at once; They are majestic, arrogant, beautiful and encapsulating of times gone by of historic importance we can only imagine. That's the type of coin you dream about as a kid when you first think of how cool it would be to find a treasure chest full of gold and silver coins. I hope to one day be able to venture off into the many coins that make you feel that way that are out there.

Eagles and castles a king a crown a sword a shield...what more cna you ask for. Humanity cant make coins like that any more, much like the arts and archictecture of old we have lost the skill to be artisic within our means.
