Any East coast coin shows coming up in the near future, particularly near NYC?

The next big show I'm aware of will be the ANA World's Fair of Money in Boston starting Aug 10.
There's a Whitman show in Philadelphia starting Sept 30.
And then there's the Whitman show in Baltimore starting Nov 4.

Not in the NYC area is the Summer FUN in Orlando in July.

There's also CoinFest which is right outside NY in Stamford, CT. It's from October 28th-30th. About Coinfest

Coming up next January, the NY International Numismatic Convention [NYINC]. The 2010 show was back in January.

Big show but mostly ancients, which I'm not really into. Went to the 2009 show at the Waldorf. If memory serves so did MrBrklyn. He did a nice photo essay of the event if I remember correctly.

yeah - that show was the last of the great things I did with my kids...

They raked that place over and it was really interesting.

Boston is a fantastic town, no matter one's personal sports affiliation, there's so much more there, so much history to which we of this numismatic hobby owe much to that town's founders and forefathers. Boston is especially nice in the spring/summer months, just don't try to drive or street park there if you can avoid that aspect.

Will be stayin' at the Marriott (convention center). They do list a parking garage (I'm driving). Hopefully all will go well.

Couldn't get me to go there. Been there too many times. I hate the place, and as for its history, it really doesn't match Brooklyn, or NYC. Its a back water little town that thinks too much of itself.

transportation there is not great either. A town that really is nice is San Fransico, and I'll be out there in August. Until then, I'll keep ready Walt Witman and sing Odes to the Maryland dead and Mordechai Grist.
