Hey hey! I think I found another sweet Lincoln. Check out this Ebay sale. Tell me what you think. http://cgi.ebay.com/1995-Doubled-Di...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3a5b8ffdf6
I really want to get one of them. Back in 1995 I was 10 or 11 years old (depending on the time of the year it was) and I tried to find one of these in circulation. I never did, but I saved decent examples of some coins back then and it's also when I got some of my first world coins and my 1853 dime that is almost worn smooth. Eventually I stopped looking and also stopped saving new stuff. (Which is why when I look at my collection now I have nearly perfect examples of some of the coins from 1992-1996 but then back to having circulated for the years after that) Someday I'll get one, it would sure be nice to have. I hold out hope that I will be able to find one in circulation (rolls) but I don't think there is much chance of that any more.
I searched like hell for an example of the 1995 DD and never found anything either. Now that the price has become reasonable IMHO anyway, I'm just going to buy them. I'm not a big variety or doubled die collector but I needed 3 of the 1995's to complete my coins albums. Lousy coin albums always telling me what to do! :desk:
I have always hated those "Guess the grade" posts but here I am anyway. I know it is probably a good way for people to test their grading skills but I have always found that grading coins from a picture difficult so I see it as more of a guessing contest. Well, here is my bid...Have a stab at it. The seller is calling it a "red Gem Unc". What do you think it will grade at?
