I'm posting this in a couple of forums because I'd really like to help a friend out...

My friend here in the Denver area likes to collect Denver and Colorado things.
He's a Vet and just such a sweet person.
He's got a beautiful collection of antique locks and railroad keys besides other Colorado tokens.

Hey @ZoidMeister this seems like the kind of thing you might know something about...or which big gun to call in to take a look o_O Thanks!
Googling things about "microphone scandal" tokens and other terms finds nothing.

My buddy stopped in at my work today to ask me about this token.
I know nothing and would love to give him some interesting info!
It's about the size of a half dollar...

First I've seen of that token. It is reminiscent of a couple other satirical tokens I own. I'll do some digging.

I bet you found it first...but in my other thread they sent me to tokencatalog and I found it too...I wouldn't be surprised if you own the referenced catalog lol.
AMAZING cross reference to find that other cool token too @ZoidMeister !!!
...Or maybe I'll just drive an hour to the ANA Library, as an excuse for a visit

For the folks here on CT...
it was made for the state election 1938!

So many interesting twists and turns in our nations history that have been immortalized in tokens.. Jennings Free Silver, So called dollars, Norfed, etc.... That's why I love to see the peeks into @ZoidMeister and @johnmilton collections. They send me down rabbit holes of information that I love learning about.

Here is another interesting satirical medal I picked up. A Jimmy Carter / Fritz Mondale piece from a republican convention.

You've seen the recent counter satirical medals produced by Daniel Carr haven't you?

These tokens protest the removal of Zerbe's name from the highest ANA award. The design is based on anti-Zerbe tokens by Thomas Elder.

Those are really cool, first time I've run across them although many know of Elders disrespect and hatred for Zerbe, funny stuff, I think I like the copper one better! :D

The maker of these produced both designs in silver, copper, and gold. I got one of each in silver and copper. The gold club is quite exclusive . . . . .
