That sure is a handsome Morgan. Most of the 04 O's that i come across are blast white. Hope you didnt pay a big premium for the toning though. What is going on on the rim to the right of unum? Looks like a little cud.?

Send it to NCIC so they can run a fingerprint check.

Not sure if you are serious or joking. If serious where is the finger print?

Between 8 & 10 o'clock right in front of her face.

Based on your image, I'd guess about $50. I like to collect toners, but I don't think it should add any premium to this one.

    Yep those are small cuds.

To be classified as a cud, I believe the break must extend into the field.

I always thought the same thing too, but I've seen these very minor breaks on the rim be called cuds before, especially with Morgans. VAMworld - 1904-O VAM-4B The last pic on that page is called a cud, though it is just slightly larger than the OP's coin.

Technically, that is a cud, albeit borderline, because there are very small gaps of the field between the denticles.

I think the fingerprints are pretty neat. On the flip side the toning would be even heavier if they weren't there.

Looks like a nice Morgan Dollar. Does NGC say anything about the toning on the slab lable?

I dont think so but maybe one of the numbers on the slab refers to something about toning??? Out of curiosity what were you expecting them to say?

    heres the slab

To save from arguing with a man that has much more time invested in coins than me here are a couple with similar toning that one might feel have what looks like a finger print.........guess im a fan of that type.:kewl:

Your Morgan looks really cool and so does your dimes. I don't know if it has finger print or not, sure it looks like it could be a fingerprint but it's slabbed so as long as you're happy with it then that's really all that matters. I think it looks really good with that unique toning pattern and all! :thumb:

My remark about the fingerprint was not intended to be derogatory. It's kind of a standing joke whenever I see a fingerprint to say, "Send it to NCIC!", meaning that maybe we can catch a coin thief.

By the way, I don't see any fingerprints on the dimes.

It has a very very soft strike, the lower curls of the hair and the breast feathers are killin' me. :D
I've never been a fan of the 'crusty' look though, I'd just keep looking until I could find another toner that was more vibrant. As long as you're happy though...congrats.

    P.S. Your pictures are great.

Mind me asking what you paid for it?

I'd love to snag a Morgan like that.
