That is surprising Doug. Even the posts on that thread are surprising, not the context, but the way they said them. Did that forum used to be an upbeat, user friendly, type of place? Nowadays 40 different members would comment on that thread bashing what you said in the article, and photo shopping different pictures of you, like you in a dress, or as an Ogre.

Yep I agree with you on this........GO LAKERS!!!!! I am a Lakers fan too. They won last night forcing a game 7 in which the Lakers will win game 7 and therefore win the NBA championship on Thursday in LA. Perfect. :high5:

Back on topic.......Did I mention that I like CoinTalk and did I also mention that CoinTalk is my new "online home?

CoinTalk is a very good forum with very knowledgeable posters and people who do not like CoinTalk for whatever reason are just wasting their time attacking CoinTalk. It is fun to read other post from other posters that talk about what coins they collect and their story as well as their knowledge on what they collect. I am just glad to have the privilege of posting on CoinTalk.

 

That is very surprising.
But not surprising that they didn't ban you. They really haven't enforced their 'rules' until now.
Members are getting the boot now, because PCGS seems to want to clean up their act on that forum. I still don't like the place though, everything you say you have to have a sparring match to go along, and whether you are the instigator or not, you get the boot.

 

I really don't care about Kobe or any of the other players, but I am a big fan of Coach. How many rings does he have now? 10? 11? He was at his best in Chicago with MJ and the gang.

Conder101 never goes out of line, and is normally calm when he posts, and his posts are knowledge filled. He is more of an under the radar type of guys.
I'm surprised he would get banned for anything.

I remember when I first joined (keep in mind this was a while back) I started a debate on toned coins in PCGS/NGC holders and also grading of both companies.
I got the response that PCGS has NEVER graded a coin over 2 points of what the exact grade would be, but NGC does it all the time. When I tried to bring up points of toning, and how toned coins are graded by both companies, they put any kind of mistakes/blame to NGC.
Now I know this is when I had a different tone, and different style of typing and getting my point across, but really?
They have loyal Kool-Aid drinkers at that forum, you can't make a point about anything unless it is against another TPG.

I was just about to start a thread about David Hall, and suspicions I had on his website, concerning the grades of his coins, but then I asked myself, what is the point?

 

I wonder what bumping those threads would do to the current members?



Very rarely are the ridiculous submissions and resubmissions that come back all over the place, ever talked about at that forum.
Like I said, when you try to bring it up, they deny it, or you get banned, or your thread goes away. If you don't agree you are given the death penalty, it is a big ole' communist third world country over there.

I know there are very knowledgeable people there, and there are also some very knowledgeable people here as well, but the weeding through posts you have to go through on this forum and that forum are two totally different things. With this forum, being more user friendly, and an "at home" environment you might have to go through a few basic question threads and more people who are beginners to get down to the good stuff, with Collectors Universe, there are so many members that post no sort of contribution, that the thread gets 5+ pages so fast, the one person who did post something knowledgeable has his post forgotten about right as he posts it.
