Forgive me for duplicating this, but I thought it might get buried in a thread for Ike specialists. I found this 1973-S Uncirculated Silver Dollar in it's original mint packaging with a large thread inside of the plastic.

Has anybody ever heard of anyone collecting Mint Packaging Errors like this one? Does anybody have a comment on whether you've found similar product sealed within the plastic?

    Marshall,

Debris inside the lens of any coin(s) issued by the Mint is not considered an error. It is an unfortunate fact of life.

You could probably sell it on ebay and claim it is a piece of history.

Does this mean my packing error sets are worth something? I've got a few with disoriented coins or reverse on the obverse side.

Packaging errors are only meaningful for SleazeBay sellers and Bidiots!
