Well, I know that I was eliminated in the last round but I thought I'd still play along for the fun of it and as long as I can keep providing answers to your questions, and to pass your time while you wait for the other slow pokes to get their replies into you. :D

    So then... PM SENT!

Well this time no one got a perfect score.
The questions were much harder and you all did well.

Lincolncent is the winner as he only missed one sub question and not the whole question.
    Congrates Lincolncent!!

The second place is a way tie. So I did the random number drawing and ended up with
    Second place is bigjpst!!

Congrats guys! Duke, what was the answer to number 3?

I know I'm not Duke but......
    June 1755.
Surprisingly late. They were the last colony to authorize production of paper money. I was thinking 1600's to begin with.

Edit: I would love to know the page number of that lot number though...

Not a complaint, just an observation...

I appreciate the contests that you guys have put out over the last few weeks... I have lost a lot of sleep but learned a TON, but I have noticed there are SOOO many conflicting reports on some of the info available on some of the questions... For instance, I found atleast 3 different references to the May 1755 issuance of paper currency in Virginia but haven't found a single reference to June...

    http://www.coins.nd.edu/ColCurrency/CurrencyIntros/IntroBillsofCredit.html

    http://books.google.com/books?id=X4...nepage&q=virginia paper currency 1755&f=false

I went through dozens of articles on every question and learned stuff I never knew about lots of subjects, but I am surprised that I missed anything, but I did... I hope DK will send along the answers when he gets time... I am one of those real competitive types and am always disappointed when I missed something... Gratz to you winners though... Nice contest and very nice prizes...!!

    Regards,

    B
