I recieved some silver AB quarter sets the other day. Is it just me or is the Hot Springs quarter just plain ugly!!! Also, since it is a building facade the quarter's reverse is entirely a matte finish. I wish they would have made the building in a mirror finish and the doorway and fountain in a matte finish. It would have been a lot more appealing, and would have fit in better with the other coins and their mirror finishes.

I really like the other four quarters, and they depict a nice outdoor park scene!!!!

    Anybody else agree?

Guess I'm too laid back. Nothing about that coin bothers me at all.....

Is it a matte finish or is it frosted to produce the cameo?

Because they are using the quarter for this series, you will probably find others in future installments with a design that covers much of the reverse.

  5. Same here. This series is starting to grow on me. I like all the designs especially in silver. TC

Yeah, I love the silver quarters!!! They seem to have a blazzing appearance compared to the clad quarters...

I agree with you, it is strange not to have a mirror finish on the reverse these coins. Some of the sets I purchased are close to a mirror finish but just not quite there. Now I'm wondering if there are varieties made with different dies which have been highly polished to a full mirror finish which may have been made later. The 2010 Silver Quarter sets have not sold as well as the "States" quarters and this particular quarter may create a stir once all of the examples have been distributed - this was written in mid 2011 and the Mint is still trying to get rid of their overstock on this release.
