I give up. I've guessed everything possible that I can see. I just aint gonna win if I haven't gotten them all right by now.
We have a Winner!!! One of his answers was the right number (x or x) however, was the wrong combination..none the less his answers fit what I came up with on the note I have in hand at the moment. So.. the one tool that would have helped all the Numismatist out here would have been the Loop!! 10X or higher woul have revealed the following. 4- Automobiles 12 people 10 on the sidewalk and 2 easily seen in the front most car. 2 Flags (USA) 1- Statue- Left front Lawn of the Treasury Bldg 9 to 10 trees. The Trees are the 1 between the building- 5 left of the last car (back of vanishing point)-4 trees very back of the tree line. For these you needed the loop to see the cut lines indicating the trees involved. It was so complex back there I accepted 9 or 10 trees as the answer. Give a hand to .....BIGjpst #1 4 #2 12 #3 2 old glory #4 1 front of treasury building on left #5 6 on right 3 on left Congrats!! Send me your address!! RickieB
I was using this picture to look at the flags, which look like the Treasury Flags http://www.bc.edu/bc_org/avp/cas/fnart/fa267/19th/treasury.jpg
Congrats BIGjpst and thanks RickieB! Ltrain, sign up for a free Heritage acct. You can zoom in alot on the pics.
hat image you used showed the flags in a different position and different flag.. pretty cool image though.. RickieB I will scan my note if you all would like me too?
I still do not think there are 2 people in that car. The "person" on the right (of the car) looks like the right hand pillars from the roof to me. However, I am guessing you are looking at the real thing and I was using a picture.
That note had some serious folds in it blocking out the engraved lines of the Trees on the left...thanks for palying everyone! RB
Please send me your address... One request that I always have is that you must post an image of the prizes once you receive them..will you do this? This is to prove that I sent the prizes as promised. Regards, RB
Why did I hold this Contest?? The reason is to introduce some of you to Paper Money and the great detail involved in it's engraving. I do hope that this will open your perspective up to the really neat things involved with paper money and spark an interest in the possibility of catching the flame. Regards to all.. RickieB
Thank you ikandiggit, there are many fine Paper Money Collectors here among us. I too look up to many of them. It is very cool to actually look at something we have all handled for years and not realize what was on it. Thanks again everyone for taking a really good look at the reverse engraving of the $10 Small Size Fed Reserve Note. RB
RLM... here is the scan of the car and the 2 people...you can clearly see his hands on the wheel..This is one of the very cool things about engraving..it is truly a lost Art!! Enjoy.. RickieB
