    James Madison, USA's Third President, on Currency:

    Somehow I titled this TRIVIA: instead of TRIVIA: President James Madison on Currency.


    USA Circulation Coins:

    There is only one USA coin bearing an image of James Madison on it. It is the fourth Presidential Dollar issued in 2007. Mind you, all four Presidential Dollars were issued in proof, as a set, early in 2007. Also note, many coin dealers and collectors are acquiring and offering singles and sets in edge lettering varieties "A" and "B".

    Gold Certificate:

    Almost all $5000 Gold Cerrtificates were issued for Federal Bank Exchange transactions only, therefore few (if any) made their way into collectors' hands and no photos of them exist. Here are those I was fortunate enough to find.

    I've heard of a $5000 note, but didn't really believe they existed. Thanks for clearing it up....and as usual, thanks for the always good and enlightening info.
