Not sure if here is the right place for this request but..... Looking for Numismatists to share stories they have about the hobby. There really are no limits. You can write how you go into the hobby, your favorite coin etc.... Submit your story to edited - you really should have members contact you via PM first and then give them the email privately. Otherwise the SPAM bots will harvest you email and you will be buried in junk
what are you going to do with them? I am certain that most people would question blindly writing technical articles with no clue as to what, where, or how they may or may not be published
Thanks GDJMSP! LOL, Ok my first post is a clear example as to why I shouldn't post when I'm tired. Sorry I left out a lot of details. Affordable Coins does a newsletter about the hobby. It is not another buy from us here's what we got newsletter. We are wanting more input from the community. Not looking for long books just short stories/articles. I know many people in this forum have a lot of knowledge to share. There's no timeline to submit entries. If you like you can always be listed as Anonymous. I'm still new to the whole newsletter thing but you can see our latest one here.
Not sure what you looking for but if you just want stories about this hobby, just sit down and read all the posts here. There are numersous forums of different classifications and a search tab at the top. If you want Numismatic stories, using these forums you could probably spend a hundred years reading all these. Your question is sort of like asking for a repeat of all the previous posts on coins here. :smile But just in case you want a short version of a story, I collect coins. :goofer::goofer:
except that he wants to publish the stories, and he can't publish stuff straight from forums. IMHO, If you want to start a newsletter, start writing it yourself, if you want help from authors, give them a slice of the pie and they might help you. Personally, I am going to keep my numismatic writing here on this forum for millions to see rather than put it into a newsletter that has a completely unknown distribution and circulation as well as a complete loss of copyright for me when you publish it. Thanks for the offer, though
Just because your work is published in a newsletter does mean that you lose the copyright for your work unless you sign the full rights over to them. They can publish with permission and you still retain the copyright yourself.
Oh it's nothing official I'm just wanting other peoples enthusiasm & views to share other than my own. I do use a lot of news articles. I have to admit it only has about 40 readers at the moment.
