Either I'm cross eyed, or this truly is the 1970s DDO

Screenshot_20221120-135436.png Screenshot_20221120-135451.png One good shot I was able to capture that clearly shows doubling. But knowing you guys, your still going to ask for a more clear picture and I'm working on it. The date and the word trust is what convinced me. What about you? If I can get at least give of you to give me at least a maybe I'll run with that.

Well you're right about the request for better pics... but I will say it does appear to have some doubleing going on but not clear enough to see the corners and tell if it MD or a real DDO

Here is a great example of what we need to see... all those lil "v"s on the corners of the letters and numbers vs the flat ledges of MD...

If you can see lil Vs at the points then it's an almost positive ID of a DD
Here's a great example look at the U or the S on states, you can clearly see the Vs at the corners

Why don't you simply show us clearly in a cropped-photo one place at least where you're seeing doubling? I've seen more convincing photos of the Loch Ness Monster.

I been collecting for many years now and I think I know the difference between mechanical doubling and the real thing. This coin has split serifs, notches, and the doubling is not flat like fake doubling it's identical to the original letter

More like a trip to a coin shop to have some other "eyes" check it out.

Well good for you but you didn’t show us it until now. What do you think we are, clairvoyant?

Eddie, get a spin on this.... I said that you all would not be satisfied with the original shots, but even with those shots you could still see doubling. I said I was working on better shots to upload.. You judged the book without reading the last chapter. Your one of the originals who have been a member of this site for many years so I expected a more,( I can't find the word) response from you. Yeah the senseless humor is funny and ok sometimes but some folks on here is just trying to better educate themselves and could benefit from a response such as... I'm not really convinced that your coin is a double die, perhaps clearer pictures would be helpful to help me determine to the best of my ability. Things of that nature.

I was referring to Eddie spin when I said that. But yeah your right. What would be a reasonable bargain for it

Errors, of whatever kind, are an acquired taste. Every year has Doubled Dies (correct me if wrong) and most are not worth much. The big popular ones bring Moon Money, but I would expect more like $5 to $10

It's been said that there was only 50 of these minted before stopping it, so almost none got into circulation accordingly ( or some more mischief at the mint) . The photos of those have doubling ( PCGS) that seems off from the one you show. I would have to see a larger sharper photo myself, but would suspect possibly a
Chinese fake . I am not saying it is , just that it would difficult to verify. It's a fortune if real , so maybe submitting it is the best road. I wish you good luck.

Just take a sharp snapshot and it would be helpful.
Something sharp that isn't even a close up would be far more helpful than the current pics.

Based on the "TRUST" in the blurry pics you might have one of the other DDOs.
Based on everything else in the photo...nope. 100% not the biggie.

There are many clues even without clear pics...the shape of the L in LIBERTY compared to the actual DDO-001, for instance.

Well you’re just plumb wrong, you can’t diagnose it in the original pics from the glare. So go ahead, go off on a bender, tell me all about me, I’m used to it.

Many of them from the double-squeeze era I’ll bet probably do when you look at them at that insane magnification level.

    clearly fuzzy.
image taken Too CLOSE for the camera used to focus, probably.
2nd, if the same coin, is a lot better image.
