I purchased my entire roll of skeleton fingers one (or 5) at a time on ebay. There are boxes that contain no errors and others that contain up to 20 a mint roll. Date on boxes, time stamp, and inspector number determine what errors and how many might be inside. On the CU site there is one thread in particular that is full of info on these LP2 boxes contents. The thread is at least 25 pages long. Some members purchased hundreds of LP2 boxes on the open market, and posted their results. This thread will tell you what to look for. A more recent thread there, shows an informal poll of which error people thought had a chance to be included in "The Cherrypickers Guide", and perhaps be recognized by PCGS. That error was the WDDR-006, skeleton finger. As I remember someone posted that 3 of the errors were to be included in CPG.
I agree 110 of the errors are hard to see and blah. You need to do an ebay search of WDDR-006 and see that this one is different. They sell for $5 to $9 each, so finding 20 in a roll could fund some other purchases. Also some value to an unopened roll having a WDDR-006 as end coins. That unopened roll would sell for $60+.
For some reason all 200 of my rolls dont show the reverse side of this penny! Only the head side on both ends. They are all U.S. mint sealed rolls too
You have lost most of the value by opening the boxes, and negating the "good Box dates". See what the loose mint rolls go for, and if it's not to your liking, educate yourself on the 3 best errors (skeleton finger, double thumb, extra finger) and start searching.
Any estimates out there as to how many of each LP2 WDDR's were produced? I personally like the WDDR-001 best.
I've seen people calculate the WDDR-006. They figured it was less than a half day run, late in April. Sorry I can't remember the numbers.
