All great... quite the collection....The 1901 with the dual busts has always been one of my favorites... I only have the 3 mark of Prussia from that period... and some minor coins... but as far as german states, I have several from earlier dates. There are so many great designs from this era, I always liked the little hamburg ones from the 1850s...
Hello, gentlemans. I got it today: 3 mark 1911, silver .900, 16,667 g. Mintage - 493000. Wilhelm II - King of Wurttemberg.
I really like that Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel 1786 1/6 thaler. I love that design, and a large silver coin of that style has been on my wish list for quite some time.
Nice coin; I have one like that too. The eagle on the coin (which can also be found in the city's CoA) refers to Frankfurt's status as a free city, ie. the city was not ruled by a prince or king but only had the emperor "above" it. The woman on the other side is Francofortia, an allegory of the city. The designer August von Nordheim apparently had the actor Fanny Janauschek as a model. Christian
