since i had a lil money again i planned on trying to pick up a 1809 classic head cent previously seen at a shop but to no avail "closed on wednesdays". i decided it was time to take a trip to one of the places less traveled since hes strickly a bullion dealer. anyway for a total of 53$ i got this 1801 S-224 and 1902 O morgan. the 1801 is VG scratched/rim bumps very nice dark chocolate. i managed to get it for 30. i got the 1902 O morgan as a change of mode for 20. i was trying to figure out the VAM but its not really my league. if anyone might know VAMs some of the die cracks you cant rly see - one beginning above the I in PLURIBUS and running thru BU - one beginning to the right of the D in UNITED thru the wing tip to S of STATES - one beginning at F in OF all the way to I in AMERICA. any comments/opinions appreciated.
It's hard to tell from the pics, but on the reverse is it the 1 berry or 2 berry reverse? (Btw it looks like the near date to me). 2 berries looks like this: VAMworld - 1902-O VAM-17 (See the 4th pic). 1 berry looks like this: VAMworld - 1902-O VAM-26A (See the 3rd pic). Also is there any doubling on Liberty like this: VAMworld - 1902-O VAM-26 (Doubling is very light and is found on Liberty's profile, see pic 1). This will help number things down.
2 berries. i did not see any doubling in the obverse. the reverse would be a bit harder to say. i like it alot marshall. its my first piece with such a cud.
