    DDO/DDR Halves

Would you guys mind posting a few pictures of good DDO's/DDR's you've found roll-searching? I've done a little searching on the internet, but it seems tough to find good pictures of distinct doubling on Kennedy's. Hopefully this is the right thread, but post it somewhere else and link it from this thread if its not, thanks!!

I'll try to take a pic when I get home. It's not really easily noticeable... definitely requires a loupe.

2 boxes of halves: 1953 & 1963 Frankies, 9-40%, 1971 & 2004 Proofs. I love finding frankies, have found 4 in my 3+ months of roll searching.....still hoping to find my first walker.

Appreciate it, thanks Ltrain! I figured that would be the case for most doubled dies found in rolls. I'd still like to see it if you can get a pic!

Anyone have one that doesn't require a loop?

Wasn't able to snag a good pic of mine, don't have a good camera.

That's a decent pic of a 71, and there's a thread on here (http://www.cointalk.com/t9429/) with a good pic of the 74 that you don't need a loupe to spot.

Woohooo, found my first silver coins after my first three boxes were blanks!!!!! And I think someone dumped a collection in there, found:
    1 - walker 46d
    3 - frankies
    1 - 64
    10 - 40%
    41 2002-2008

Very exciting stuff. Honestly this was going to be my last box, but I now have to reconsider :)

    Yep.....that's what happens. LOL

I opened a box of halves today and found 4 silver coins, all of them 90% including 2 Frankies :D :) :D!
    2 1964
    1 1963
1 1962 in EF-AU, an absolutely beautiful coin to be pulled out of a roll! Lot's of luster and about 3/4 of the Bell Lines.

There is nothing quite like opening a roll and seeing a blast white edge in contrast to a bunch of dirty sandwiches. I LOVE THAT!!!!!

What is weird is I've pulled 5 Frankies from rolls in the last couple of weeks after not finding one for months. I'm definitely not complaining..... :)

I finished the last 10 rolls of Cents today and the oldest was a 1949. A couple of 2009 D LP 4's. These are not very common for some reason, so I am pulling them.

Just wondering. I just searched $250 of dimes and came up with nothing older than a 65. Very depressing. I think i'll switch to halves. do you just look at the edges to see if its silver or do you go through every coin?

I've found that you can't always just look at the sides, so I go through each roll. I'm starting to spend the time looking for errors that have been posted as well.

besides silver and errors are there any dates i should take and extra look at or that are more collectible than others?

I look at every half, coin by coin. I look for other things other than just silver. I do the same for cents and nickels. I gotta admit, though, that when I search dimes, I genereally just look at the edge.
