Well guys, I'm going to celebrate me making it through my second year of graduate school with a contest. That, and I figured it's a nice way to show everyone how appreciative I am for the knowledge on this forum. Next week I will go for my monthly purchase at the coin shop and figured it would be the perfect time for a contest. Winner will recieve three silver halves: one Kennedy pre-64, one Franklin, one Walking Liberty.

    Rules:

    Must have 50 posts.

Live in US so I don't have to learn international shipping charges.

Answers to be recieved via PM, one per person.

Contest Ends 11:59 PM on June 4th

Winner is the one with the most correct answers by 11:59 next Friday or the individual who PMs all correct answers first.

So, now that you guys are squirming in your chairs with regards to what the contest is, here it is: a crossword. I created a crossword from coin related items. Just go to this website http://www.variety-games.com/CW/Puzzles/1741084946671776619-puzzle.htm to print it out and PM me the answers. Any questions-just ask. Enjoy and yay for me making it into my 3rd year!!

It's actually a pretty tough crossword. I tried it for several minutes and finally gave up. LOL

lol. I'm sorry. I tried to make it "crossword-like." The toughness factor could be why I've not recieved many responses as of yet. Just thought it would be a fun puzzle, but oh well...I tried.

By the way, I'm from IN...near Richmond or Winchester by chance?

I'm in Highland, IN which is part of the NW Indiana/Chicago area. Been here seven years now and like it, but I'm originally from Massachusetts.

  20. Treashunt

    Treashunt The Other Frank

    Except:

    The correct 1D was DeFrancesci.
23A: Is: Wrote, since Yeoman is deceased.

    Those drove me nuts.

The source I had for 1D had "de Francesci" so I wasn't quite sure whether to be de in the last name, I opted for no so I apologize if that gave confusion. I'm sure if I put DeFrancesci in the puzzle someone would argue for Francesci. As for Yeoman being dead...I had no idea and that was my fault for the wrong verb tense.
