Working on my grading skills. Figured I'd put them up to the test on this walking liberty. Offer your opinion on what grade you think it is. I have my own, just wanted to see if they jive with what others think.

Both sets are the same coin. The first picture is with a phone camera, the next is scanned.

    Thanks!

I'm thinking somewhere around fine to very fine. I looks like most of the wing feathers are in tact.

My only slabbed coin is a VF-20 '34-S Walker in an old ANACS holder... doesn't look quite as nice, so I'll go with VF-25.

F-15 to VF 20. Although, as they say on EBay, "I'm not a professional grader. This is my opinion only"

The damage to the rim, 2 O'clock on the reverse would preclude it from grading at one or more of the major houses.

Now if you would just like a grade, that's OK.

Very Fine 20 both sides, but a net grade of Fine 15 due to post mint damage.

(but then again, I am very critical when it comes to Walkers)

    Happy Collecting

Thanks to everybody that threw in their two cents. Feel free to anybody else that hasn't.

I was thinking VF myself. Wanted to put it up for opinion to see how other's thought and get a feel if I was on the mark or not.

    Thanks!

I agree it is in the F to VF range (as most of mine are) but thats a tough call between the two for me because I have a long way to go when grading Walkers. Nice Walker by the way.:D
