Its in really good shape, the new red book has it listed at 6 bucks, do they sell for more than that or would 6 bucks be about it. Thanks!
It does say up to $16.00 in new condition, but $6.00 in very fine condition is it's collectors value at this time.
There's a 1961 Red Book on sale on Ebay for $24.99 (Buy-it-now) right now. Doesn't necessarily mean it will sell, of course, but Ebay is usually a decent guage.
It really depends on who the buyer is. If you put it in an ebay auction you may get $3 or you may get much more it just depends. It's certainly worth keeping that's for sure but I would keep it for informational purposes rather than sell it. Someone else mentioned a BIN on ebay. BIN's are usually sky high and most of the time have no bearing on what you could actually get for it. :kewl:
okay, I waited. Sorry but the 1961, unless it is NEW has little value. Ignore the idiots on eBay. Sorry about that.
Ya i have one from the 50s not worth anything but using it as a resource is cool 1893s morgan unc $400 vf 40
What Frank said...... If you want some good info on collecting the Red Book you really should invest in this: A Guide Book of The Official Red Book of United States Coins: by Frank J. Colletti, available everywhere. Falls into the buy the book before the book line of thinking.
What Red Book is that coin price in? I have a 1949 Red Book in very good condition, though I don't seriously collect them.
I was at Borders book store today and they had 2010 redbooks for $3.99. I also saw a 2011 supersize red book for 29.95, I don't think so...
