How often do you simply take the time to sit down and enjoy looking at the coins in your collection? TC
Every month or so I'll look to see what I have because I can't remember what I have. I always find something new that I didn't know that I had. And there's coins that I thought I had, but were traded or sold over the years. I guess I'm not organized...
I enjoy the thrill of the hunt more than I do admiring my collection. Typically, since 98% of the coins I obtain are from the Internet, by the time I obtain a coin I have memorized every detail. And when I get it in hand, I look it over and admire it exhaustively. But after that, it goes into storage (album, slab folder/box, etc) and I will pull everything out every month or so and pour through it. Kinda like a junkie, after I get the rush of excitement/pleasure/fulfillment and that good feeling goes away...I need to set my sights on another coin and start the hunt again...in search of the thrill. My name is Louie, and I'm a coinoholic... -LTB
I enjoy my collection! But like to keep it safe so i will usually catalog it and Then photograph it and put it away, But still take a peek now and then
Not as often as I'd like. About every other week, I'll look at something. I go through the entire collection maybe twice a year. Just for fun...
With the NewP's it's more often but the older stuff it in the SDB so only when I go there or go to take it out for some reason like last week for pictures.
Daily I have a select few of my favorite's and newer additions on display in the living room. Prove to be a great conversation point - new visitors always ask about them! Mind you, id be more inclined to have a lot more on display if my partner let me... haha
I have a very small collection (10 uncomplet whitmen folders anda few slabed coin) and i look at everyday maybe twice a day.
lol A few times a year to inspect for damage. Coins are cataloged and in a safe deposit box. I mostly like thinking about the total value and how liquid they are or aren't (sorry, retired accountant).
