1999 Connecticut Quarter Doubling??

    Found this Quarter a while back...machine doubling or double die?? All opinions and expertise welcome...

    I'm not into state quarters, but it definately has some type of doubling. Here is a list of state quarters http://doubleddie.com/179401.html that have doubled dies. Conn. is not on the list...

    It doesn't look like machine doubling to me, but I would have to see high-res close-ups first.

    i to have one just like this.i have started a map of state quarters, i call the cud state map.i have in it double dies,large cuds ,and die cracks. i just need 4 more to have it finished. it has been fun trying to find all the states

    Looks like die deterioration/worn die to me..

    It sure does. It's a bit extreme, but I don't see any separation anywhere.

    It is die deterioration doubling.
