Let me begin by saying, that after a lot of thought, I have decided to liquidate an heirloom coin collection left to me by my great uncle. Now, I understand the attached pictures are low quality, but if anything strikes anyones eye, I would be happy to make arrangements for a higher resolution image. Represented here are about 1/3 of the coins. Most are worn, beaten, some have holes (seemingly intentionally punched), and/or have an already heavy patina. I dont actually expect to sell anything soon, but when I do, it would be very nice to have some working knowledge of what Ive got. Thank you all very much.
You have a few British coins, a few Canadian Colonial Tokens most in poor condition. Some of the tokens may be worth looking into.I can't tell what alot of the coins are by the scans but there still might be a "gem" in there. You also have a couple of silver British coins.
A good clear close up on that octagonal coin would be nice to see. It may be a California gold piece. It would need proper authentification since it's in the raw and could easily be fake or a replica. Also, if you have a scale and can weigh this coin let us know the weight and dimensions. A coin dealer or jeweler could help you weigh the piece if you don't have access to a scale. Any coins you image, please post both sides of each coin, crop in close and fill as much of the frame as you can. Use a tripod or copy stand if you can.
What's the date and size of the reale? It's the silver coin with a shield and legend that says Phillippus*V*D*G. if real it could start around $50
