Question about value of some proof sets

I have collected some of these at work and seek information. Some appear to be Silver alloy yet others appear to be Copper clad. What's the story on these?

Well just that. They made silver and clad ones by the bucket load.

 

They didn't make them by the bucket load. You're just simply wrong - especially for Silver clad.

Bicentenniel business circulation coinage as a "collector" coin didn't work - they really did make too many of the standard circulation issues.

But we're talking about proof/us mint sets here - which had much lower mintages.

In addition,

The 1976 sets will always have a special space in collectors hearts, drawers, safety deposit boxes, fruit cellars, mason jar buried under the maple tree, etc.

I think you get my idea?

Probably one of the overlooked "Modern" coin values.

 

Well I don't know how big your bucket is but mine will fill up at well less then 3,998,621 Ike Sized Coins.

With the smallest mintage of the 76's proofs being just under 4 Million that's what I call bucket fulls.
If this was Baber Halves only 5 of the 73 different ones have a mintage larger then this. And the Barbers are for Circulation...don't let me compare these to other Proofs!!

Thank you Duke / Pocket! Imagine my surprise when I started finding these as a toll booth attendant. I didn't know the Silver ones even existed. The stories I could tell...

 

There was a big hoard of good coins from the Subway's of NY once. I'm sure if given enough time yours would be good too...
